About the Founder

Background

Dr. Azeb is a licensed clinical psychologist (CA#PSY29947) working with individuals and couples. She works at the Los Angeles Harbor College and maintains private practice in Huntington Beach, California.  She completed pre-doc and post doc internship training in clinical psychology at the Los Angeles Harbor College.  Dr. Azeb received her practicum training for her Master degree at BARRT, a multi-service organization that provides opioid addiction treatment and addiction & relapse prevention education.

In her practice, Azeb works with individuals facing a wide range of issues from adjustment disorder to ADHD, stress, anxiety, and depression, eating disorders, grief, and traumatic life events. Over 10 years of counseling experience and teaching, working with multiethnic and culturally diverse client populations in both one-on-one and group settings. She specializes in a holistic approach to healing, personal development, self-transformation, health, and wellness.

Education
Dr. Azeb completed her Bachelor degree in Goshen College. She received her Master’s degree from California State University of Dominguez Hills, and her Doctoral degree from Saybrook University. She has studied Humanistic psychology and various forms of meditation practices with some of the prominent leaders in the field. Her interest is in Buddhism and theoretical as well as clinical research area of psychology.

Dr. Azeb is a researcher. Her work included on the effects of HIV on Neuro cognitive functioning among elderly population. She has also conducted and presented several researches on Mental health related issues and Psychotherapy, including Person-Centered Therapy, Buddhism, and Brief Psychotherapy at the Society for Psychotherapy Research Conference.
